Everyday Resilience for Teens

This course has been sponsored by an anonymous donor making it FREE for high school students. The tough times we are living through present new challenges to our mental and physical health everyday. This class will give you tools to develop mindfulness and compassion with yourself and the people around you.  We provide a safe group space each week for you to check in and connect with yourself and others as we build individual and community resilience together.

Acting for Teens

Small on-line class sizes ensure individual attention as each student works directly with the professional actors and assistant director of RhinoLeap's November production of The Glass Menagerie.  This acting class will cover the basics of professional actor training from pursuing objectives to playing actions to exploring the power of given circumstances.  Skills will be applied to monologues and scene work.  The class leaders have experience ranging from Broadway to Cirque du Soleil to The Globe Theatre in London. Maximum of 6 students per group.

English In Schools

During this time of on-line learning, we are partnering with English teachers in Randolph County to help meet the challenges of virtual education.  We understand the importance of pivoting classes in engaging ways, and this program provides fresh faces, perspectives, and creativity to your already planned curriculum.  It also gives English teachers a chance to breathe.  Your students will explore books, poems, and/or plays with actors who have worked all over the world.  This program is funded by the state of North Carolina making it FREE OF CHARGE to schools in Randolph County.
